Writing great songs has always been the cornerstone of The Freeway Revival. The group was forged on the road, and uses their lyrics as the window into the life of a traveling band. The Freeway Revival's blend of classic rock, blues, country, and soul incorporates a sound that instantly makes you want to tap your feet. Live, The Freeway Revival, balances organized, and crafted tunes with a potential go anywhere jam ethos. Tasteful guitar harmonies, vocal harmonies, and an assortment of piano and organ melodies provide an intricate, yet energetic sound. Rest that on a very solid rhythm section, and you are sure to have the whole place dancing! Each member plays a vital role in making the live experience unforgettable. The Freeway Revival has been blessed with opportunities to open for artists such as Kansas, Ron Holloway, Story of the Year and Devon Allman’s band, The Royal Southern Brotherhood. The band has toured coast to coast on multiple occasions, and has grown a very supportive fan base. In May 2014, the band traveled to Los Angeles, where they recorded their second album with John Ryan of Chicago Kid Productions (Allman Bros. Band, Styx, Santana, and Lynyrd Skynyrd). Their sophomore effort, Over the Mountain, was released in late November. The album features Jorgen Carlsson of Gov't Mule on bass and Fernando Sanchez on drums. The Freeway Revival continue to write, record, and tour. The band continues grow as musicians, and performers, as they define themselves, and their sound. |
