Thursday 26 october 2000 :

My friend Birgit at Kerrang magazine in London U.K. sends me an e-mail with info on the final "God Says No" release, apparently a colleague of her received a finished copy with full artwork and final tracklist that same day in order to review the album. Birgit was able to take a quick look at the sleeve before her colleague snaps it back and guess what .... she saw my name mentioned on Dave's thanks list ! I just can't believe it ... i mean, HOLY SHIT, that's a total suprise ! Sure, i've been a die hard fan ever since the first EP was released and sure i have a website dedicated to them ever since i mastered webdesign well enough to build something decent as a tribute for my favorite band and sure i went to their shows numberous times ever since they started touring in Europe way back in 1991 ... but GODDAMN, I'm speechless ! Yeah, i've had the luck to meet the band before, damn ... i've been invited backstage in Holland and Germany in 1998, i was able to watch them live from the side of the stage at the legendary Dynamo Open Air festival in the Netherlands in 1999 where they totally blew away the 50.000 visitors and in the meantime wiped the floor with the other 60 participating bands including Metallica HA ! I hung out with them all day at the prestigious Rock Werchter fest. in Belgium and watched them from the frontstage crushing the Belgian audience in no time. I saw them headlining the Paradiso club in Amsterdam last year on my birthday and got to party with the band afterwards but FUCKING HELL, it's a total mindblowing experience for me to see my name printed there on the sleeve of their brandnew "God Says No" album !! This might sound like no big deal to all you people but as for me ... they made my day, month, week, year ... Yeah, MONSTER MAGNET made my fucking life !! All the hours i spend over the years working on my site, believe me, i can't even count them but i enjoyed every minute of it and it sure is worth it. Saying it's better than sex is ridiculous (and a lie ;-) but i can honestly say i enjoyed working on this site as much as i enjoy hanging out with my friends, drinking beers, smoking some weed and simply having a good time. Thanks to my site i met a lot of great people and fellow Magnet fans from all over the world, some of them became really good friends (Birgit, Caren, Annalena, Michael, Sabrina ...) and most important all the guys in Monster Magnet ! I never started this site with the idea in mind of meeting the band one day but thanks to the fact that they are real and very grateful people i did anyway and it was awesome. I could go on for hours here but let me finish with this : I really hope i can go on with this site for at least another decade or two and no matter what the rest of the world thinks about it ... MONSTER MAGNET is the last REAL ROCK BAND on this planet and beyond and DAVE WYNDDORF is the only frontman worth mentioning (especially since Bon Scott and Phil Lynott both died years ago and Ozzy isn't what he used to be anymore ;-) !! ROCK ON GUYS, SEE YA ALL BACK IN EUROPE SOON !!

I'm very sorry but with all the excitement i fucked up the scan for the very cool frontsleeve by saving it under the same name but in a much smaller size, it will be on this site in a larger version as soon as possible so you all can check out the cool new BullGod artwork.
